Mater Dei College Bus Service 2022

Horizons West have added an extra bus stop on the Banksia Grove line along Joondalup Drive for those students living in Joondalup.

Mater Dei College operates two private Bus Services for Mater Dei students.

Parents are now required to register online for the bus service and approve for the College to provide Smartrider details to Horizon Bus Service prior to use. Please click on the “How to Guide” which walks you through the sign-up process; as well as adding your child and funds to the account.

The Mater Dei College dedicated bus service is offered as a service to the community to assist students travelling to and from the College on a daily basis. The two routes that are currently offered are the Landsdale Bus Service and Banksia Grove Bus Service. The Terms and Conditions of the bus services are below:
• Please ensure you have signed up to the e-ticketing platform and added credit to your account. Refer to the How to Guide for E-Ticketing and Bus App which is located on the College website.
• Download the bus tracking app to ensure you are aware of any disruption to services.
• It is imperative that your child is at the desired stop no less than 5 minutes prior to the scheduled stop time.
• Any abuse of the privilege of travelling on public transport while associated with the College may result in the privilege being withdrawn. Offending student or students may have to negotiate private travel arrangements in these circumstances.
• Please ensure your account remains in credit. The College will contact parents directly should insufficient funds be available. Frequent insufficient funds may result in students being unable to continue using the service and being required to negotiate private travel arrangements.

AnnettePrincipal’s message

It is an honour and a privilege to be the Principal of this wonderful College and I look forward to sharing our story and the achievements of our community with you.

Mater Dei College offers a rich program in the Marian tradition of Catholic Education based on the pillars of Faith, Community, Service and Learning. These pillars are the foundation of the College as we continue to strive for a culture of personal excellence based upon high expectations.

As Principal, my focus will be across three broad areas:

Enhancing community engagement. The spirit of community and good will is very strong at Mater Dei College. Positive relationships are the key to a successful school and creating an environment where all members of our community feel safe to develop is incredibly important.

Driving the academic endeavour.  Every College environment should be built on a foundation which enables students and staff to always be on a journey of exceptional learning and teaching. My vision is that all students and staff strive to achieve personal excellence. This is not achieved through academic results alone, rather the culture within the school and the community and relationships that support it.

Providing strong pastoral care. Mater Dei College prides itself on its pastoral care, specifically the nurturing of each individual and providing a complete educational experience for all students. Our teachers are committed to your child’s journey and focus on nurturing and affirming your child so that they can achieve their goals.

I hope you enjoy visiting our website and trust it provides you with a snapshot of the opportunities our College offers, as well as a glimpse of what is happening on our campus. If we can provide any further information or book you on a tour of the College, please do get in touch. On behalf of the staff and students at Mater Dei, I welcome you.
