In the past year students in our College have pursued a variety of
avenues in which they have excelled. The scope for creativity has
broadened with the introduction of Year 12 Visual Communications –
Photography. This has built on the new course in Year 11 from the
previous year. Examples of their work were on display at the Showcase
exhibition earlier this year. The photographic work has complemented the
many other expressive art forms on display in this annual event. Next
year we look forward to the new Design Courses of Study in Photography.
These courses will be accessible to Year 10.
Our students have embraced the digital technologies on offer at the
College. Students have produced many creative examples of digital art in
the promotion of products in the enterprise scenario. Some students in
our lower school classes, have used this skill in the creation of very
entertaining stop animation movies to promote a College based
anti-litter initiative.
Accounting has also been given an added injection of interest for the
students. The Institute for Chartered Accountants has kindly offered an
annual prize for the highest performing student in a business subject.
Domenic D’Adamo was the deserving recipient of this award and we all
wish him well.
Students are developing a broad range of skills through study in the
subjects taught in the Enterprise and IT department. Our challenge is to
provide opportunities that match the ever changing landscape that is
‘technology’.
