At the
Homeroom level
The person charged with the responsibility for
monitoring an individual student's progress and development is the
Homeroom Teacher. In the Vertical system
students from each Year
Level are placed in one of 40 homerooms -
ten within each of Mater Dei's
four Houses.
Familles are placed together in the same homeroom
groups, and it is envisaged that homeroom teachers remain with the
homeroom group
from one year to the next, enabling
the homeroom teacher to
oversee
the students' progress over the five years of secondary schooling.
